High Protein, Low Phe Iced Caramel Macchiato

Who else loves the iced caramel macchiato with coconut milk at Starbucks? Usually I like hot drinks but this iced drink is everything. Something about Starbuck's coconut milk is pure bliss and I can't find one in the stores that matches it. Phe content with their coconut milk is about 50 mg for the entire drink. This is about half of an almond milk latte at Starbucks.

What do you all think I did here? Recreated this drink at home, of course. It even had some cold foam on top, which is made with skim milk at Starbucks so, off limits for the PKUer. I have been dying to try the cold foam but I can't even imaging the phe content in that concoction given the skim milk.

For the drink at home:

Mix Sphere like usual with flax milk for the lowest amount of phe. Flax milk is zero phe. I find Sphere (or any formula for that matter) tastes best when mixed in a blender. The blender will whip up a little cold foam from the sphere as well. Once it is mixed, add espresso, drizzle caramel syrup and top with a few cocoa nibs. This drink is pretty tasty. Sub cinnamon or crushed vanilla bean to save on phe from cocoa nibs.

Optional add is Build or PhenylAde GMP Mix In for a little more protein boost. I added for sure.

To save calories, use unsweetened flax milk or you could go with sugar free syrup. However, the way I look at, I am going to be drinking the Sphere and Build either way so if I mix with my espresso I can instantly save calories by using the Sphere to sweeten. It is only an additional 50 calories to make this drink. Definitely worth it!!
